Understanding who to contact for support.

Training Facility Support

WAGPET's team of experienced Program Training Advisors and Regional Medical Educators are region-specific and there to support training facilities, supervisors and registrars.

The WAGPET Training Facility Handbook is a useful resource for further support.

For further support and assistance, please contact your Program Training Advisor.

Training regions

To better support practices and registrars across WA, each region has been assigned an experienced Program Training Advisor (PTA) as the single point of contact for all WAGPET and AGPT program-related information, queries and support. Each region also has a dedicated Regional Medical Educator (RME), who provides education to GP registrars and supports supervisors who are doing the training.

Our dedicated teams will develop closer working relationships with each supervisor, training facility and the GP registrars working with them.

Supervisor Liaison Officers (SLOs)

Regional SLOs promote GP training at events and in various materials, They ensure WAGPET and the other SLOs know what their local supervisors are thinking and talking about. They support local supervisors in training and education and they represent WAGPET and our supervisors on State and national groups, including GPSA.
