WAGPET provides a Practice Support Payment to contribute to the costs incurred with hosting a GPT1/PRRT1, GPT2/PRRT2 or AST/ARST GP registrar.
Payments will only be made when a current Training Services Deed is in place.
Payments are made via recipient-created tax invoices. Please refer to your Training Services Deed for more information.

Payments are pro-rata for part-time placements and values quoted are maximum amounts excluding GST.
- In-practice education payments
WAGPET makes an in-practice teaching payment to support supervisors to provide dedicated teaching to GP registrars during their first 12 months of their general practice terms (GPT) or primary rural and remote training (PRRT).
In-practice teaching payments are made in five equal instalments over the semester via recipient-created tax invoices. Please refer to your Training Services Deed for more information.

Funds are available from the Department of Health to support the reimbursement of a GP registrar's salary while they are undertaking a training placement at an Aboriginal Medical Service as part of their AGPT program.
WAGPET manages the administration process for the reimbursement of GP registrar salaries back to the training facility who employs GP registrars at an Aboriginal Health Training placement.
