RACGP WA The Ageing Patient Workshop

Enrol

RACGP WA, in collaboration with St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital, presents this full-day active learning module, aiming to develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of GPs in managing common presentations specific to their elderly patients.

This interactive workshop will focus on the journey of Mr Potter; from his fall, to his hospital stay, rehabilitation and further care options.

GPs will review falls in the elderly, osteoporosis, polypharmacy and de-prescribing, understanding the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) process and home help options, mental health conditions, and Medicare items specific to the elderly. There will be a very useful discussion on a practical approach to primary care in residential aged care facilities and advance care directives.

Register online at the RACGP website.
