Hospital Terms

GP Registrars completing a hospital term should indicate this on their Placement Preference form identifying the name of the hospital and the disciplines to be completed. 

GP Registrars undertaking Hospital terms are responsible for arranging their applications for these Hospital placements and advising WAGPET when the placement is confirmed. The deadline for informing WAGPET of your hospital placement is 30 September 2008.

If you are having difficulty securing a hospital placement please contact WAGPET as soon as possible.

Community Resident Testimonial: Dr Nicholas Gray Dr Nicholas Gray

I was involved in the Community Residency Project in its pilot year, 2007, working part time in the Paediatrics Department and the remainder of the time in General Practice in the Bunbury region. I chose this term as I was particularly interested in General Practice (I am now a GP Registrar in the Northern Territory) but also wanted to keep my skills in hospital based medicine, in case I found GP was not to my liking.
