Training Advisor Meetings

Throughout training GP Registrars meet regularly with their Training advisors.  Registrars need to have at least two meetings a year.   It is up to the GP Registrar to organise these meetings.

The purpose of these meetings is to benefit from what is being learnt through the various aspects of the training program. The following areas are reviewed with the Training Advisor :

  • learning plan and recent achievements
  • formative assessment data that may have been collected
  • new learning needs and how they may be met
  • GP Registrar well being in the program to date and in the future
  • Career development and how that is progressing.
  • Eligibility to sit the Fellowship examination
  • Eligibility for FRACGP Completion of Training
  • Eligibility for FACRRM or FARGP Completion of Training
  • External Clinical Teaching visits
