Training in Aboriginal Medical Services

GP Registrar training terms from GPT 1 to GPT 3 can be undertaken in a variety of WAGPET accredited Aboriginal Medical Services (AMS) training posts spread throughout Western Australia.  These training posts are funded through Indigenous Health funding and provide registrars a diverse and unique training time.

  • Training in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health-making a difference and gaining invaluable General Practice skills. Available on the GPET website.
  • Contact the Project Officer for GP Education and Training at the Aboriginal Health Council of WA or access information from the website
  • Join the National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organization GP Network and participate in their web forum discussions to talk to other GPs and GP Registrars who have worked in this area.
