How to Apply

Applications for the 2016 intake have now closed. Applications for the 2017 intake will open April - May 2016. 

Applications for the Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) program must be made using the online application form on the Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) website.  Here you will find information on the application process and answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs).

The Department of Health coordinates the national application process for AGPT and will advise Western Australia General Practice Education and Training (WAGPET) of applicants who have applied for a training place with us. We will then contact you to arrange an interview.

How to Transfer

When a registrar wishes to transfer between a Regional Training Provider (RTP) an AGPT Application for Registrar Transfer form needs to be completed and submitted to their current RTP. The application has to comply with AGPT's Transfer Policy and WAGPET's Transfer Policy between RTP or pathways.
