Practice Aims & Philosophy
Collie River Valley Medical Centre (CRVMC) aims to provide high quality, professional and personalised healthcare that is constantly evolving to meet the needs of the Collie community. This medical practice is a procedural orientated general practice offering obstetrics, anaesthetics, minor general surgery and gynaecological procedures as well as General Practice consulting. This practice enables all Doctors to practice autonomous medicine to the extent of their individual capabilities but also encourages the use of their experienced rural GP colleagues if needed.
While our core business is General Practice, we have expanded our business to 28 Harvey Street in 2012 to include a more efficient and comprehensive approach in occupational health, preventative health checks and allied health (PathWest, Audiology, Psychology and Exercise Physiotherapy).
CRVMC is a dedicated teaching practice with a designated education room. The medical centre has been involved with the mentoring of Registrars since 2004 and both of the Partners (Dr Peter Wutchak and Dr Jan Van Vollenstee) are fully committed in providing a comprehensive training term.
Practice Highlights
- Complete autonomy of practice with full support of experienced GP's in a modern well equipped surgery.

- Ability to follow through patient care from rooms to Collie District Hospital (if needed)
- A one in five on-call (not too arduous)
- 40 minutes from Bunbury and only just over 2 hours from Perth
- Flexibility of shifts - the ability to finish early and start late Monday
