We are a GP owned practice operating in Fremantle since 2003. Ellen Health moved to a newly renovated art deco movie theatre on the corner of Wray Ave and Hampton Rd in May 2014. We are a short walk from Fremantle Hospital and  the centre of Fremantle. We have 18 full and part-time doctors, 5 part-time nurses, a nurse practitioner,a psychologist and 3 bay treatment room.  Ellen Health is co-located with Pathology, Physiotherapy and Pharmacy and we are close to many other private allied health practitioners. Our patients range from established Fremantle residents to tourists, backpackers, portworkers and the homeless providing an interesting mix of ages and socioeconomic status, from the worried well to chronic disease management.    Since moving to our new location we have extended our consulting hours to 8pm M-F as well as Saturday 8:30-4pm and Sunday 12-4pm and we are attracting minor emergencies, sport injuries and acute illness.

We teach medical students from UWA and Notre-Dame Universities as well as supervising GP registrars at all term levels. All of our GPs are vocationally registered and most have a FRACP and are members of the RACGP. Most have further qualifications in addition to FRACGP.  Some of our GPs are also examiners for the written and clinical components of the FRACGP exam.

Many of our doctors have previously been rural proceedural GPs and maintain an active interest in minor proceedures, including Implanon and Mirena, antenatal care and surgical assisting as well as special interests in Street Doctor, GPAH, obesity, mental health, nutrition and sexual health.
