Dr Findlay began a solo General Practice in Kalbarri 11 years ago. Mullewa was added to the practice three years ago. Mullewa and Kalbarri are separated by 300km, a two and a half hour drive. Mullewa and Kalbarri are under his solo care.

Dr Alex John joined our Kalbarri pracitce last year. He has recelty completed MBBS MRCS MRCGP FRACGP.

As a group practice, we now have the time and recource to work closely with WAGPET and become a training practice for General Practice Registrars.

The Shire of Northampton has requested that we provide general practice servies in Northampton. Northampton is midway between Kalbarri and Mullewa. We are looking forward to this new challenge and will seek to recruit a further gerneral practitioner.

Dr Findlay hope to provide a Group Practice with three practitioners and the support of a Registrar when available.

A small group practice will offer a stable service for Kalbarri, Northampton and Mullewa. It will guarantee holiday and emergency leave cover by providing in house cover when locum services are unavailable.

Dr Findlay would like to train GP Registrars as he believe that it is important that a group practice remains, up-to-date, main stream and interested in Medical sciense. The Registrar as an extra pair of hands will provide opportunity for a comfortable balance between home and work life for incoming practitioners and registrars.
