Philosophy/Ethos
The practice aims to provide a high quality of medical care in a conscientious and cheerful environment. This does not mean just acute problems, but a balanced and holistic approach, with attention paid to preventative medicine and lifestyle issues. This means to understand and treat the whole person, giving the patient necessary advice and information so that informed decisions about management of health issues can be made.
Each Doctor practicing within St Luke’s Family Practice is free to act autonomously in decisions affecting clinical care.
The practice tries to provide a friendly, non-threatening, caring and supportive environment at the same time maintaining high professional and clinical standards. All staff members should strive to be non-judgmental, particularly with regard to race, religion, sex and the problem with which people present. Confidentiality is of prime importance.
Demography of Patients
Providing comprehensive care for over 10,500 people, approximately one doctor per 2100 patients.
