PHILOSOPHY / ETHOS
Lockridge Medical Centre is committed to the provision of quality medical care to the community of Lockridge and surrounding suburbs. Established in 1978, the practice doctors and patients have contributed to the training of a generation of medical students and postgraduate doctors. As a teaching practice, we work hard to maintain a high standard of care.
MISSION STATEMENT
To provide high quality health care to the people of Lockridge and surrounding areas.
ORGANISATIONAL STATEMENT
The practice seeks to function as an effective and efficient business with a clear sense of purpose in promoting healthcare to the community along with providing a high standard of clinical practice. The practice is committed to quality assurance and continuing professional development for all staff and is aware of the special needs of certain groups, eg, Indigenous Australians, migrants/refugees, the elderly, the physically and intellectually disabled patients, the homeless and the mentally ill patients. The practice is committed to being involved in the professional and local community and to adhering to professional standards through such activities as accreditation.
DEMOGRAPHY OF PATIENTS
Whole age range babies to very elderly combined with a broad ethnic mix, people with intellectual disabilities, Aboriginal patients and nursing home patients.
APPOINTMENT SYSTEM
The practice recently introduced our new "Same Day Appointment" system to help improve access to doctor appointments. We are pleased to advise that our new "Same Day Appointment" system is working well and we have been able to offer appointments on the same day requested in most circumstances.
