Yura Yungi medical service is an ideal placement for an adventurous subsequent term GP registrar who wants to try out remote area Aboriginal health.  Depending on the supervision available this placement could also be considered for an experienced advanced term Registrar.  Excellent outdoors opportunities and working in a town with 5 other doctors who work closely together (Halls Creek Hospital employs three doctors and in-patient load is shared between all doctors in the town).  Support provided from KAMSC in Broome for all GP Registrars in the region.  Subsequent GP Registrars are included in this support and GP Registrars from Halls Creek are provided with time off to attend training in Broome several times during a six month term.

PROFILE
Community Resident Testimonial: Dr Stephanie Trust Dr Stephanie Trust

My particular placement is over six months and involved part time General Practice at Lamington Medical Group and part-time in Paediatrics at Kalgoorlie. I could not have got a better experience anywhere. The placement has the balance between GP and Hospital just right. This sort of experience is about being out of your comfort zone and being happy with that too.
