OVAHS is a 3-4 doctor plus registrar practice that provides comprehensive primary care for people in Kununurra. OVAHS provides a range of outreach clinics by the road to Aboriginal communities in the surrounding areas, including across the border in the Northern Territory. The service is committed to training and ongoing professional development of all health staff, and registrars are expected to have a close relationship with Aboriginal health workers, nurses and allied health staff, both learning from them and sharing knowledge with them.
