Regional Administration

Each region is supported by a Regional Advisory Committee comprising a regional GP Registrar Liaison Officer, a regional GP Supervisor Liaison Officer, a regional Training Advisor, a WAGPET Education Consultant and Program Manager. The Regional Advisory Committee, or RAC, is supported by a regional Administration Assistant.

The role of the RAC is to provide support for GP Registrars in the region, develop the regional education program, support GP Supervisors and Training Posts in the region and identify new training opportunities in the region, working with WAGPET staff to develop these.

As part of their core education program, WAGPET GP Registrars participate in small-group education sessions from local GPs on topics that are important for that region. The regional education program is developed locally and Registrars can nominate topics to be included. The regional Training Advisor supports GP Registrars and deals with local training issues. The regionally appointed GP Registrar and GP Supervisor Liaison Officers undertake a liaison role for their respective groups.
