Positive changes to WAGPET program in 2017

A new education and assessment framework and a single point of contact.

WAGPET is committed to providing excellence in general practice training delivery.  We are transforming our organisation in 2017 to ensure the highest level of support to every registrar, supervisor and practice.

We’ve developed a new education and assessment framework.  The new framework ensures registrars are getting the highest standard of training that aligns completely with the ACRRM and RACGP requirements.  The framework is supported by our innovative, integrated education and assessment tool, GP365.

Single point of contact

We have established new roles as a single point of contact, called Program Training Advisors.  Our Program Training Advisors are dedicated to specific regional areas and work alongside Regional Medical Educators who provide integral clinical guidance and education.

The Program Training Advisors understand the local context of the urban, rural or remote locations they represent and can assist with all WAGPET and AGPT program-related queries, support and information.

Contact details for our program delivery team across all WA regions are available on our Contact page.
