2018 AGPT Selection Process

Selection for the AGPT program will be managed by ACRRM and RACGP from 2017, for 2018 commencement.

Selection for the Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) program will be managed by the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) and Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) from 2017, for 2018 commencement.

The change to the AGPT program selection process was announced by the Australian government on 30 January 2017.

WAGPET, as the sole regional training organisation for Western Australia, will continue to deliver the AGPT program for both ACRRM and RACGP registrars across the state, and will work closely with the colleges for the on-boarding of doctors to the WA-based AGPT program.

Applications open 10:00am AEST 10 April - 10:00am AEST 8 May 2017 and are made through the Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) website.
