Inaugural WAGPET Trainer Education Conference
The inaugural WAGPET Trainer Education Conference is to be held at The Vines Resort in the Swan Valley, from Friday 15 to Sunday 17 May 2009. The Conference promises to provide GP Supervisors, Educators and ECT visitors with an opportunity to participate in workshops and discussions relating to their role as educators and mentors in general practice training. Information on the Conference has recently been distributed via post, so ensure you fill in the Reservation Form and reserve your place as soon as possible.
Prospective Applicants
WAGPET delivers the GP training program throughout WA and provides prevocational training opportunities through the Community Residency Program and the Prevocational GP Placement Program.

WAGPET is delighted to congratulate recipients of recent state and national education and training awards.
Medical Student Survey Results
A recent survey of medical students undertaken by WAGPET and the AMA WA highlights the importance of positive role models during undergraduate training, and the need to promote general practice as an intellectually stimulating career offering variety across both clinical practise and work environments.
