Registrar 101: Placement, Preferences and Approaching Practices

This information session has been designed to provide pre-GP term registrars with guidance in, and an overview of, the preferences and placement process.

Attendees will hear from WA General Practice Education and Training (WAGPET) about the placement process registrars go through with the AGPT program in WA. Isabel Broderick, Program Strategy & Innovations Manager, will describe the process of placing registrars with training facilities and the steps registrars need to follow for their first placement.

Registrars will then hear from two training facilities to gain insight on what practices look for pre-interview, how they like to be approached and some tips for the pre-placement interview.

  • Dr Brenda Murrison, Medical Director and Principal Supervisor at Brecken Health Care, winner of General Practice of the year for WA 2016
  • Dr Sean Stevens, Deputy Chair RACGP WA and Principal GP Supervisor at Mead Medical, national RACGP General Practice of the Year 2013/14.

This is a complimentary information session for registrars, however bookings are required as places are limited. To book a place, click here.
