Overseas Trained Doctors

As an Overseas Trained Doctor, there are a number of options available should you wish to pursue a career in General Practice. In order to obtain specialist registration as a General Practitioner in Australia and to be vocationally recognised under the Medicare system you are required to have a fellowship from either the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) or the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM).

The benefits of supervising WAGPET registrars

WAGPET Supervisor
The Collie River Valley Medical Centre (CRVMC) has trained 23 registrars in the past 11 years. It has also engaged seven PGPPP doctors since 2013. The WAGPET supervisor behind this recruitment drive is Dr Peter Wutchak, a former registrar, who is passionate about the many benefits registrars bring to a medical practice.
