Quality Continued Focus as Number of GP Training Places Increase
Western Australia has experienced an unprecedented acceleration in the number of applicants for GP training positions in WA. Demand for places in the Training Program has far outstripped a 20% increase in funded places for next year’s program with 30% more applications than places available.
Primary Care Infrastructure Grants
Applications are now open for Primary Care Infrastructure Grants being provided under the Federal Government’s GP Super Clinics Program. Grants of up to $500,000 are available.

WA supervisors have given resounding support to a WAGPET study with 75% of primary supervisors completing the Sustainable Teaching in Community Based General Practice Survey.
